1. Who we are and what this policy covers
30 Day Lessons Inc. ("we," "us") owns and operates 30DayWatercolor.com (the "Site"). This policy explains what personal information we collect through the Site before our launch, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
2. Information we collect
We collect a small amount of information, mostly your email address and how you use the Site.
| What | Examples | How we get it |
|---|---|---|
| Contact details | Your email address, and your name if you choose to give it | You, when you join the launch list, ask for the free Day 1 lesson or sign up for weekly painting ideas |
| Messages | What you write when you contact us | You |
| Device and usage data | IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, buttons clicked (including plan and buy buttons), time on page, and the ad or link that brought you here | Automatically, through cookies, pixels and similar tools |
| Approximate location | City or region, estimated from your IP address | Automatically |
We don't collect payment card details, and we don't ask for sensitive information.
3. How we use information
- To send what you asked for: launch announcements, your launch discount, the free Day 1 lesson and practice sheet, and weekly painting ideas if you signed up for them.
- To measure interest in our planned products, including which plans and products visitors click, so we can decide what to build and how to price it.
- To run and measure our advertising, including showing ads to people who visited the Site and reaching people with similar interests.
- To operate, secure and improve the Site.
- To comply with the law and protect our rights.
We don't use your information to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Cookies, pixels and advertising
We and our partners use cookies, pixels and similar tools on the Site. Depending on which tools are running, they include:
| Purpose | Providers |
|---|---|
| Analytics | Google Analytics |
| Advertising and ad measurement | Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram), Google Ads, Pinterest Tag |
| Video playback | Our video hosting provider |
These partners may collect information about your activity on the Site and on other sites and apps. They use it to measure ads and to show you ads based on your interests.
Your choices:
- Browser settings: block or delete cookies in your browser.
- Ad settings: turn off personalized ads in your Google, Meta and Pinterest account settings, or use the industry opt-outs at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends this signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information for targeted advertising on that browser.
- Do Not Track: there is no common standard for browser "Do Not Track" signals, so the Site doesn't respond to them. We do honor Global Privacy Control.
5. How we share information
We don't sell your personal information for money. We share it only in these ways:
- Service providers that work for us, such as our email platform, website host and analytics providers. They may use it only to provide services to us.
- Advertising partners, through the cookies and pixels in Section 4. Some state laws, including California's, may treat this as "selling" or "sharing" for targeted advertising. You can opt out as described in Sections 4 and 8.
- Affiliated companies under common ownership with us, which help us run the Site.
- Legal and safety reasons, when the law or legal process requires it, or to protect our rights, our users or others.
- Business transfers: if we're part of a merger, sale or reorganization, information may pass to the new owner, who must honor this policy.
6. Emails
We email you only about the things you signed up for. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and we act on unsubscribe requests promptly. After you unsubscribe, we may send one message confirming it.
7. How long we keep information
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Launch list and email addresses | Until you unsubscribe, or 12 months after launch, whichever comes first, unless you become a customer. If we decide not to launch, we delete the list within 90 days of telling you. |
| Device and usage data | Up to 14 months |
| Messages you send us | As long as we need to answer them and keep reasonable records |
8. Your choices and privacy rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop using it for marketing. Email [email protected] or call (855) 394-8482. We'll verify the request against the email address we have on file and reply within the time the law requires, generally 45 days. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.
California and other states. Residents of California and several other states have rights under state privacy laws. These may include the right to know what we collect, to delete or correct it, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising, and to appeal our decision on a request.
- To opt out of targeted advertising, email us with "Do not sell or share" in the subject line, or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser.
- You may use an authorized agent. We may ask for proof that you authorized them.
- We don't share personal information with other companies for their own direct marketing.
9. Children, security and visitors outside the US
- Children: the Site is meant for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
- Security: we use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no website or email system is completely secure.
- Visitors outside the US: the Site is intended for people in the United States, and we store and process information in the United States.
10. Changes and contact
We'll update this policy when our practices change, including when we launch. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and email launch-list members about significant changes. Disputes about this policy are handled under the dispute terms in our Terms of Service.
